Utica man arrested on drug charges after police find 300 grams of cocaine

UTICA After police discovered more than 300 grams of cocaine during a car check on Friday, a 47-year-old man from Utica was taken into custody on many drug-related charges.

Special Investigations Unit investigators were carrying out a warrant in connection with an ongoing drug investigation when they arrested Julius Peak.

Investigators found Peak, the subject of their inquiry, and made the arrest during a car stop.

Peak was taken to the Utica Police Department, where he was charged with four charges of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
