WESTBURY When authorities discovered a 22-year-old woman driving a car with a 3-month-old passenger, they arrested her on charges of aggravated driving while drunk, according to Nassau County authorities.
According to authorities, Michelle Lopez was pulled over at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday while operating a white 2013 Honda Civic north on Merrick Avenue close to Stewart Avenue.
According to police, officers saw the car had no front license plate and started the traffic stop.
According to the police, Lopez had watery eyes, slurred speech, and an alcoholic breath odor when they stopped her.
According to police, Lopez was apprehended without incident after demonstrating positive results on standardized field sobriety tests.
Police said they released the 3-month-old female passenger to a family member.
There were no reported injuries.
Lopez was accused of several vehicle and traffic law violations, two counts of driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a kid under the age of sixteen.
